Ron McFate of Eldridge will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house on Oct. 21. All friends and relatives are invited to call starting at 4 p.m. at Al & Gerry’s, 204 N. 2nd St., Eldridge. No gifts, please.
Ron McFate was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Davenport. He worked in data processing in the banking industry and Design Homes, retiring in 2004.
He enjoys playing cards, attending car shows, golfing, Sudoku, dancing, telling “my good buddy” stories, playing guitar, cruising in his Ford Mustang, and spending time with friends and family. He is a lifetime North Scott Lancer sports fan.
He is the father of Rod McFate (Jane Sweet) of Oxford Junction, Kelleen McFate of Eldridge, and Kerry McFate (Jen Watson) of Queens, N.Y., and the grandfather of Payton McFate (Alyssa Davis) of LeClaire.
