Paul Schinckel, formerly of Walcott, will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house at the Walcott American Legion on Sept. 28. Friends and relatives may call from noon – 3:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. No gifts, please.
Mr. Schinckel was born Dec. 11, 1929, at his family’s home in Scott County. He and his wife, Marian, were married June 21, 1954.
He was engaged in farming near Plainview.
His children are Linda Moore of Arlington, Texas, Allan (Deb) West of Lafayette, Ind., and Lisa (George) Okpara of New Brighton, Minn. He has one great-grandchild.
