Obituary: Rosella Mumm

Rosella “Rosie” Mumm, 82, of Davenport, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Genesis East Medical Center.  Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. at Weerts Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 28 (today), from 4 – 7 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home.  Memorials in Rosie’s name may be made to the King’s Harvest Animal Rescue or to the Scott County Humane Society.

Rosie was born on April 1, 1940, to Raymond and Ruth Wilcox in Davenport.  She was a 1959 graduate of Davenport High School.  Rosie was united in marriage to Randall “Randy” Mumm on March 3, 1961.  She worked as a bookkeeper for many years.  Rosie enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, sewing, and she made the best rice crispy treats.  Family and friends were very important to Rosie and she made it a point to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband of 61 years, Randy; her children Deborah “Debbie” (Greg) Jones, Derek (Donell) Mumm, and Darci (Ben) Lindstrom; grandchildren: Jesse (Casey) Carr, Josie Mumm, Lauren Valerius, Cade (Sydney) Lindstrom, and Stig Lindstrom; her siblings Betty Johnson, Evelyn Bates, and Warren Wilcox; and her fur baby, Buddy.  She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dee Ann Mumm; her parents; siblings: Ray Wilcox, Viola Behrens, Louie Wilcox, Elsie Burton, and Leonard Wilcox; and her fur baby, Pepper.
