A funeral service for Maxine (Vaughn) Smith, 93, of Davenport, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Maxine Vaughn was born Feb. 22, 1928, on the family farm in Decatur County, Iowa, the daughter of Ottie and Coral (Curry) Vaughn.
She married Lee Smith in 1948.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Beverly) Smith, Walcott, Gary (Joan) Smith, Highlandville, Mo., and Paula (Laurel) McIntosh, McCausland; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, LaVeda (Jim) Thompson, Stockton, Calif.
