A funeral service for Homer Christner, 90, of Walcott, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Christner died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Walcott.
Homer Christner was born March 10, 1931, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of John and Agnes (Pickard) Christner.
He married Glenda Hake on April 11, 1962, in Morrison, Ill.
Survivors include his children, George (Shirley), Glenn (Mary), Tom (Misty), Kathy (Jeff) Schneckloth, Amy (William) Lackey, Annie June, and Murvine and son-in-law Terry Slyter, all of Davenport; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Patty (Kenneth) Rosen, Maine, and Loretta Rice, Davenport.
