A funeral service for Elaine F. Wehrle, 86, of Davenport, was held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Grant Cemetery, Rome, Iowa.
Mrs. Wehrle died Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Elaine Schoene was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Lee County, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Lillie (Schreiner) Schoene.
She married Richard Wehrle on April 15, 1956, in Burlington.
She was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Her hobbies were traveling, baking, being outdoors, going camping and fishing, knitting, sewing, and reading.
Survivors include her husband; her children, Philip (Sue) Wehrle, Linda (Carl) Koos, and Todd (Deb) Wehrle; her grandchildren, Shylah (Mike) Lenahan, Stacy Wehrle, Stephanie (Jeff) Silva, Amanda (Chase) Koos-Freitas, Brooke (Matthew) Keck, Chelsea Wehrle, Jessica Wehrle, and Eric Wehrle; six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Robert Schoene and Darlene Kinyoun.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wehrle; a daughter-in-law, Carla Wehrle; a grandson, Lucas Wehrle; two sisters; and three brothers.
