A funeral service and Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Camiel Blondell, 87, of Davenport, was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove. Burial was in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 24, from 1-4 p.m. at the church, with additional visitation one hour prior to Mass on Monday at the church. The Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Blondell died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at his home.
Donald Blondell was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Long Grove, the son of Camiel and Marguerite (Beert) Blondell.
He married Beverly Ann Flaherty on Oct. 13, 1956, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Long Grove.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Kathy (Edward) Barkalow, Atalissa, Mike Blondell and Teresa Blondell, both of Eldridge, and Christy (Heath) Pacha, Long Grove; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sharon Mazak, LeClaire.
