Dave Schmidt, born Jan. 20, 1967, died at 55, Dec. 16, 2022. He was a creative man, having made lavish ice sculptures, wood works, recipes, and fishing lures. His talent and patience helped when he was a coach: baseball and football, and when he completed his dream of owning a restaurant, Big Dave and Holly’s in LeClaire. His family, wife, Holly, children: Terril and Bryanna, aunts and uncle Shirley Schmidt, Verla and Richard Downs, extended family and friends are holding a celebration of life Jan. 20, 4 until 7 p.m., at Boll’s Community Center, 428 River Dr., Princeton.
