Arlene M. Goettsch, 92, of Long Grove passed away on March 23, 2021, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. According to Arlene’s wishes, there will be no services. Weerts Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Arlene was born on Jan. 18, 1929, in Buffalo to Charles Moore and Ollie Vance. She was united in marriage to Gordon W. Goettsch on March 13, 1948, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2018. Arlene farmed in the Long Grove area and later worked at Adel Wholesalers. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and visiting with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Gordon “Sonny” (Jan) Goettsch of Long Grove, Angie Scott of Durant, Don (Missy “Donna”) Goettsch of Le Claire; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three siblings, Robert, Colleen and Donna.
