New weather service advisory says 2-5 inches of snow Friday for Scott County

Update from the National Weather Service


Snow falling at an inch an hour will hit Scott County Friday afternoon, leaving two- to five-inches across the Quad-Cities.

Heavier amounts are forecast for central Iowa, with Des Moines expected to get seven- to 10-inches.

Windy conditions will make the worst of the storm from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., according to the NWS advisory.
