Funeral services were held on the morning of Tuesday, June 22 at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. Burial followed in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Visitation was held Monday evening at Fry Funeral Home.

Maralee Joyce Williams, one of seven children, was born on Feb. 17, 1938 in Cedar County. She was the daughter of Alfred C. and Laura L. (Christian) Williams.

Maralee attended Tipton High School and on Nov.13, 1954 was united in marriage to Duane Dotson in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Maralee was a devoted wife and mother. She loved working on the farm with Duane, raising her children and grandchildren. Duane and Maralee were faithful members of the Tipton Bible Church.

Maralee is survived by her children who include Becky (David) Mills of West Liberty, Jim (Teri) Dotson of Wilton, Sandra (Dave) Duncan of Austin, Texas, Dana (Kevin) Pfister of West Liberty, Krista (Andy) DeRiemacker of Atalissa and Ann Dotson (Darryll Alke) of West Liberty.

Also surviving are brothers Warren Williams of Tipton and Richard (Donna) Williams of Winchester, MO, as well as nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Wilma Williams of Lisbon, Iowa, and Sharon Williams of Excelsior Springs, MO; and a brother-in-law, George Sissel of DeWitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; a sister, Peggy Sissel; brothers Delb Williams and his wife, Laurel, as well as Denny Williams and Allan Williams.
