Lois Roegner was born on the farm in Geneva, Iowa, on March 12, 1940. She married Jim Bittner on March 26, 1960, in Geneva.
She is the mother of Kelly (Jeff) Cronkleton of Donahue, Troy (Becky) Bittner of Edgerton, Wis., and Lee (Angie) Bittner of Davenport. She has four grandchildren: Samantha (Quentin) Smith, Sydney (Chase) Leamer, Alexandra Bittner, and Trace Bittner. She also has three great-grandchildren.
