Legislative Update

With the first funnel week behind us, last week was another busy one in the Iowa Senate as we engaged in floor debate to send important bills to the House for their consideration and debate. We also welcomed visitors from the Iowa Cattleman’s Association. They advocated for agricultural-related issues including property rights, the veterinarian student loan repayment program, and Phase II of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Iowa State University. I am thankful to our cattlemen for all the work they do to provide us with safe, delicious, and affordable food.
