Don Rathjen will celebrate his 85th birthday with a drive-by celebration from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the “I” Building at Sheridan Meadows in Eldridge. All family and friends are invited to attend.
Don was born June 4, 1935, in Eldridge. He and his wife Delores were married Feb. 15, 1958, at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge.
He was employed by River Valley Coop, retiring in 1995.
He is a member of the Long Grove Lions and Donahue Legion, and loves to play cards.
His children are Deborah (Frank) Sadd of Davenport, Don (Sharon) Rathjen of Grand Mound, Denise (Vince) Jackovich of Eldridge, and Dan Rathjen of LaHarp, Ill. He has 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
