A funeral service for Cecile Wilson Carstens, 98, of Bettendorf, was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Our Savior Presbyterian Church, Argo. Burial was in Mt. Union Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, Nov. 11, from 4-7 p.m. at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.
Mrs. Carstens died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at her daughter’s home.
Cecile Cunningham was born June 18, 1923, in Pleasant Valley, the daughter of William and Alice Cunningham.
She married Alvin (Pete) Wilson on May 10, 1942. She later married Earl Carstens.
Survivors include her children, Lois Wilson, Bonnie (Dale) Hein, Jerry (Linda) Wilson, Linda (Joe) Roberts, Larry (Barb) Wilson, Jerald (Denise) Wilson, Rita (Don) Smith, Jack (Shirley) Wilson, Donna (John) Dion, Connie (Rodey) Tharp, Gloria (Curt) Wilson, and Tammie (Bruce) Suhl; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior Presbyterian Church or to Hospice.
