Civil defense takes many forms

Mike Limberg never used the word “guns.” The Long Grove mayor’s two-paragraph suggestion in his town’s April newsletter proposes a volunteer civil defense group to, “plan, prepare, and implement measures that would provide for the well-being of all residents should we be faced with an event that makes the COVID-19 crisis pale in comparison.”
