1985: Civil War reenactors turn out in Park View

June 26, 1985: Members of the Quad-City Corps of Civil War Reenactors gave a demonstration at Park View Days for the second year in a row. The group did reenactments every other weekend between May and October. There were about 50 members in the Quad Cities group, and Bruce Kindig, the unit’s secretary, said it was estimated about 10,000 people across the country were involved in reenacting. “Some people go boating on the weekends, we do Civil War reenacting,” said Kindig.
