March 28, 1973: The Eldridge City Council moved to seek forced annexation of two areas surrounded by the city limits, and a two-square-mile area north of Slopertown Road. This would include farms owned by Ted Green, Albert Keppy Sr., Roy Keppy, Henry Stoltenberg and Arnold Keppy, as well as a portion of the Henry Keppy III farm, portions of Fellner’s and Country Acres divisions not already voluntarily annexed by the city, the Harry Arp farm, and several areas of land near Caterpillar and the Davenport Municipal Airport.
