Sept. 2, 1970: A request to build a 400-unit mobile home park on Utica Ridge Road, just north of the Davenport city limits, was withdrawn. A petition signed by approximately 700 residents opposing the proposal had been submitted to the Scott County Board of Adjustment, which had been due to examine the issue.
