Norma J. Hall, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at Premier Estates. A private family gathering will be held at a future date.

The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home in Muscatine assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compasses in Davenport or The Alzheimer’s Association.

Norma was born on July 6, 1928 in Ottumwa, the daughter of August and Z. Fae Proctor Leffler. She married Benjamin “Bud” Hall on June 17, 1950.

She received her nursing degree from Sacred Heart Hospital in Ottumwa. Norma worked at Oakwood Nursing Home, now known as Premier Estates. She also worked at Muscatine General Hospital. She was a member of the National T.T.T. Society and Muscatine General Hospital Auxiliary.

Norma enjoyed crafting, reading, specifically Zane Grey Westerns, gardening and square dancing with Bud. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Benjamin, of Muscatine; two daughters, Diane Dunker and her husband, Dave, of Wilton and Denise Kemper of Muscatine; her grandchildren, Mike Dunker and his wife, Michelle, of Lena, Illinois, Matt Dunker and his wife, Kristen, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Jay Kemper and his wife, Jill, of Lancaster, California, and Jeff Kemper and his wife Jeanne, of Lexington Park, Maryland; three great-grandchildren, Genning, Gage, and Gannon Dunker, all of Lena, Illinois; and her sister, Janice Fullerton and her husband, Harry, of Omaha, Nebraska.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and son in law, Jim Kemper.
