Robert “Bob” Gust of Wilton will note his 80th birthday with an open house on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion, 201 E. Railroad St., Wilton. All friends and family are invited to attend. No gifts, please.
Bob was born on Nov. 22, 1938 in Davenport. He married the late Susan Sheetz Gust on July 12, 1964 in Wilton. He was employed at GPC, CDS and Simpson Memorial Home. Bob retired in 2001.
He enjoys spending time with his family who include his children: Connie (Dale) Mechler of Algona, Diane (Tom) Long of Cedar Rapids and Lara (Doug) Burkhead of Muscatine; and his grandchildren: Hannah Draper, Emily Draper, Brendon Long, Alyssa Mechler and Jacob Mechler.
