The family of lifelong Wilton resident Roger L. Waech will host an open house celebrating his 80th birthday on Sunday, July 16, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton.
Born Aug. 7, 1937, in Wilton, Roger is the middle son of Herbert and Wilma Waech.
For many years he and his brother Norbert owned and operated R&N DX Service Station in Wilton. In 1956 he began his employment at Fair Station in Montpelier where he worked until his retirement in 1998.
Roger is an active member at Zion Lutheran Church, where he has served on various boards for many years. He is currently serving on the Wilton Historical Society board and formerly was treasurer of the Wilton Lion’s Club for 40 years.
