Keith and Nancy Schmidt, recent residents of Eldridge, will celebrate 65 years of marriage on Aug. 15. They were married at the Lutheran Church in Elvira, Iowa, in 1954. They are both retired teachers from the North Scott Community School District. They have been members of Park View Lutheran Church since 1985.
Keith and Nancy are blessed with a son and two daughters, Eric Schmidt of Littleton, Colo., Lynn (Stephen) Dolan of Brookfield, Wis., and Melanie (David) McMurrin of Cedar Falls.
Six grandchildren bring additional enjoyment: Brendan Dolan, Kieran Dolan, Katherine Dolan, Amelia McMurrin (Kurtis Schutter), Elizabeth McMurrin, and Jessica McMurrin.
