Patti Robinson, a community advocate from Clinton, on Tuesday announced her candidacy for Iowa Senate District 49, which serves all of Clinton County and northern and eastern Scott County. That is the district now served by state Sen. Rita Hart, who was picked to be the running mate of Fred Hubbell, who is the Democratic nominee for Iowa governor.
