Richard Kuehl to celebrate 90th birthday

Richard Kuehl of Harrodsburg, Ky., formerly of Davenport, will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house on Sunday, Nov. 10. Friends and relatives are invited to call starting at 1 p.m. at Happy Joe’s, 350 E. LeClaire Road, Eldridge. No gifts, please. He will also be honored with a card shower. Cards may be sent to him at 1415 Talmage-Mayo Road, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

Richard Kuehl was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Davenport. He married Deanna Joan Maples Jenkins on July 6, 1985, in Davenport.

He was a career agriculturist, farming in Scott County until his retirement in 2000.

He enjoys visiting with friends, eating out, traveling, cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats and Iowa State Cyclones, and spending time with family.

His children are Tracey Kuehl (John Hintze) of Davenport, Lisa Kuehl (Connie Rex Younger) of Ames, and Richard “Rick” (Tina) Jenkins of Harrodsburg. His grandchildren are Erin (Jenkins) Burton, Keith Younger, and Susan (Younger) Gauvin. He has three great-granddaughters.
