Ray Boeding to mark 90th birthday with open house

Raymond Boeding of Donahue will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house on Aug. 5. All friends and relatives are invited to call from 2-5 p.m. at Lynn’s BBQ at Rustic Ridge Golf Course in Eldridge. No gifts, please.

Raymond Boeding was born in Isabel, S.D. He married the late Joan Fitzgerald on Dec. 26, 1953, in Fort Madison, Iowa.

He was employed as a project manager at Headquarters Army Material Command (AMCOM), retiring in 1990.

He served in the Korean War from 1951-1952, and graduated from The University of Iowa in 1956. He is a member of the St. Ann’s Church Knights of Columbus, Eldridge VFW Post 6147, Donahue American Legion Post 532, and the 24th Infantry Division Association.

His children are JoEllen Peace of Eldridge, Michael (Lynn) Boeding of Spring, Texas, Susan Boeding of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Donald (Lisa) Boeding of Walnut Creek, Calif. His grandchildren are Eric (Sarah) Boeding, Ali Peace, Sara Boeding, Alex (Meghan) Boeding, Marissa Boeding, Madeline Boeding, and Anna Jane Boeding. He has one great-grandson.
