On Tuesday, May 8, the fifth-grade classes at Alan Shepard Elementary School in Long Grove visited the Stead Family Children’s Hospital at the University of Iowa. The students had the opportunity to learn about the hospital that had helped one of their own schoolmates, Francis Nass, just last year. They also got to experience some hands-on STEM activities in the medical field.
