Obituary: Wilbert Wulf

Wilbert W. Wulf, 90, of Davenport, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Davenport Lutheran Home. In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be held. The Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Wilbert Wulf was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Scott County, the son of Herman and Elsie (Telsrow) Wulf.

He married Joyce Masonholder on Sept. 10, 1949, in Davenport.

He farmed the family farm in Scott County, retiring in 1991.

He coached Little League in Walcott for 15 years, and was a member of the Walcott Community Club.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennifer Ganzer (Micheal Peterson), Keithsburg, Ill.; his sons, Tony (LuAnn) Wulf, Walcott, and Steven Wulf (Mary Meincke), Davenport; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Esther Treimer, Irene Schwarz, Malinda Thoeming, and Clarinda Bartscher.

Memorials may be made to the Walcott American Legion or the Walcott Fire Department.
