Thomas R. “Tom” Anderson II, 61, of Coralville, died at his home under hospice care on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
Tom was born May 8, 1958, the son of Dr. Thomas Anderson and Helen Beard. He attended school in Decorah, Iowa, and graduated from The University of Iowa. He married Theresa “Terry” Larson of Decorah on Aug. 5, 1978.
Tom’s family includes his children, Sarah (Chris) McCabe, Tom III (Jessica), and Blake; four grandchildren, Owen, Ezra, Luca, and Alahna; his parents, Helen Beard (Jim Bingham) and Tom (Ann); his siblings, Tami (Greg) Forstall, Tim, Teri (Kevin) Kimmes, and dozens of nieces and nephews on the Anderson and Larson sides.
Tom worked for many years in the automotive industry. His great passion was coaching his children’s sports, including softball, baseball, and youth football.
A private, family celebration of life service will be held in Tom’s hometown of Decorah in August.
