Terry Behrens
A funeral service for Terry Lee “Buffy” Behrens, 59, of Long Grove, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Burial will follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 14 (today) from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Behrens died Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Terry Behrens was born Feb. 15, 1958, in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Lorenz and Marian (Kelly) Behrens. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1976, and attended Muscatine Community College.
He married Bobbie Post Noel in 1985 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove.
He was employed at W.G. Block.
He was a Master Conservationist, Cub Scout master, a member of the Long Grove Sportsmen’s Club, and had been inducted into the North Scott Athletic Hall of Fame. He was involved in the youth hunter safety program.
His hobbies were cooking, food, traveling, and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Toby Behrens, Amanda (Rick) Dryoel, and Nate (Jaime) Noel; his grandchildren, Zac, Ethan, Faith, and Caden; his parents; and a brother, Marty Behrens (Susan Bassie), Normal, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Wapsi Environmental Center, Dixon.
