Obituary: Terry Adams

A funeral service for Terry Lewis Adams, 67, of Buffalo, will be held at noon on Thursday, Oct. 4, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 3 (today), from 4-8 p.m. at the mortuary.

Mr. Adams died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City.

Terry Adams was born May 26, 1951, the son of Lewis and Dorothy (Pagel) Adams.

He married Brenda Coonts on Nov. 23, 1968, in Buffalo.

He was employed at LaFarge North America in Buffalo for 40 years, retiring in 2010.

He was a member of the Buffalo Fire Department for 48 years, joining in July of 1970. He served as Fire Chief for 33 years.

His hobbies were golfing, camping, music, and traveling, and he had traveled to all 50 states with his wife.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tara (Doug) Anderson; a son, Todd (Michelle) Adams, all of Buffalo; four grandsons, Tyler, Trent, Tanner and Zach; his step-grandchildren, Cassie Gold and Cody (Danielle) Anderson; four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Ralph) Stadler, Blue Grass; a brother-in-law, Jeff (Ronda) Coonts, Buffalo; and his mother-in-law, Grace Coonts, Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
