A funeral service for Shirley M. Shollenberger, 83, of Davenport, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Mrs. Shollenberger died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019.
Shirley Hintermeister was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Davenport, the daughter of Hubert and Gertrude (Cooper) Hintermeister.
She married Harlan Shollenberger on March 6, 1955. He died Aug. 19, 2010.
She retired from Williams Junior High School after 34 years of service.
Her hobbies were camping, bowling, playing 500 and canasta.
She was a former member of the Izaak Walton League.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Art) Peppers, Donahue, and Vickie (Matt) Hanssen, Blue Grass; a granddaughter, Leah (Chad) Andresen; her step-grandchildren, Bridget (Chris) Woeber and Jessica Cannon; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Erps, and a brother, Robert Hintermeister.
