A memorial service celebrating the life of Shawn M. Kelly, 50, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Eldridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.
Mr. Kelly died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2018, at his home in Colorado.
Shawn Kelly was born Dec. 31, 1967, in Davenport, the son of Dennis and Candice (Hronik) Kelly. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1986.
He had been most recently employed as a waiter in Colorado, and had lived in Arizona for a number of years.
Survivors include his parents, Candice Tennison, Moline, and Dennis Kelly (Sharon Noel), Eldridge; his stepdaughters, Robin Helton of Arizona, and Erin Espinoza of California; his brothers, Daniel (Mary) Kelly, Cedar Falls, and Brendon (Dawn) Kelly, Aurora; a stepsister, Melissa Hagwood, Eldridge; and a stepbrother, Tony Woods, Milan.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Kathryn Kelly, and his grandparents.
Memorials may be made to the family or to Faith Lutheran Church.
