A funeral service for Ruth Ann Thompson, 73, of Davenport, was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Friday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her home.
Ruth Hesse was born March 31, 1945, in Davenport, the daughter of Walter and Leota (Hachmann) Hesse.
She married Ronald Thompson on Feb. 14, 1981. He preceded her in death.
She was involved with the Handicapped Development Center for over 30 years.
Her hobbies were making crafts and painting with her sister.
Survivors include her sisters, Gerry (Kenneth) Whyte, Sharon (Chuck) Freeman, Rose (Wayne) Meincke, and Janet Raquet; a sister-in-law, Carole Hesse; a brother, Jim Hesse; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles.
