Obituary: Rose Loose

A private family funeral service will be held for Rose Etta Loose, 71, of Blue Grass. Visitation was Saturday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport.

Mrs. Loose died Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, at her home.

Rose Haskell was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Thelma Haskell. She graduated from Davis County High School, Bloomfield, Iowa, in 1965.

She married Larry Loose on March 12, 1967, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.

Prior to committing her life to assisting her husband and two sons at home, she was employed at St. Luke and Mercy hospitals in Davenport.

Survivors include her children, Lorrie Megrew, Pueblo, Colo., Julie Loose and Teresa (Monte) Hand, all of Bettendorf, Tammie (Marvin) Wink, and Todd (Angela Evans-Ricklefs), all of Blue Grass, and Larry (Beth) Loose III, Davenport; nine grandchildren, Kenneth (Alyshia) and Amanda Megrew, Nicole (Dustin) Roseman, Samantha Loose, Kennedy and Kila Wink, Natalia Loose, and Jordan and Brady Loose; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Bishop, Columbia, Mo., and Deanna (Jim) Nicoli, Downing, Mo.; and three brothers, Gene (Barb) Haskell, Centerville, Richard (Judy) Haskell, Clinton, and Jackie (Elizabeth Lawton) Haskell of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Kimberly Loose; her sons, Larry Loose II, Steven Loose and Michael Loose; her sisters, Doyle Haskell and Donna Dowell; and a brother, David Haskell.
