Obituary: Roger Inman

Roger Dean Inman, 57, of Davenport, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. Funeral services were held at Runge Mortuary on July 1. Roger was born in April of 1960. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1978.

In his younger days, Roger was a certified lifeguard, working for a while at Scott County Park Pool. As a teen, he saved a girl from the Mississippi River in Princeton. He was united in marriage to Bobbie L. Moon. Roger was a master technician in the field of auto repair, most recently working at the McGrath Superstore. In the past, he participated in repair competitions. Roger was an avid drag car racer with his beloved Dodge Dart. He belonged to the West End Canoe Club. Roger loved music, especially Pink Floyd, and was a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Roger is survived by his wife, Bobbie; his mother, Lenora Buckley of Princeton; his father, Paul Inman of Rock Island; his son, Jesse (Christie) Inman of Earlville; his stepdaughter, Stephanie Moon of Florida; his sister, Sarah Buckley of Park View; his brothers, Gerald (Rites) Inman, Albuquerque, N.M., Sean (Julie) Buckley, Valencia, Calif., and Jason Buckley, Louisville, Ky. He has five grandchildren: Alyssa (Joshua) Wilson, Whitnee (Justin) Beenken, Blake (Jennifer) Schmitt, Tessa Schmitt, and Dalton Schmitt. He has seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved Great Dane, Walter.
