Patricia (Pat) M. Walker, 92, formerly from Princeton, resided at Jersey Ridge Place, Davenport. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on Aug. 18, 2019, at the Clarissa Cook House.

Visitation will be at Weerts Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 12-2 p.m., with funeral to follow. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Patricia was born to Frank W. and Mary Christmas (Forristal) Wolfe on April 2, 1927, in Des Moines, later moving to Princeton. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1946. Patricia married Jack L. Taber in 1947. They had two daughters, Jackie (Lee) Holden, Eldridge, and Patti (Dale) Trout, Davenport.

Pat had been employed by Thoms-Proestler Co. on West River Drive in Davenport for many years. She later enjoyed being employed by the City of Princeton until 1998.

She and Harley L. Walker Sr. were married in Missouri March 4, 1972; he preceded her in death on April 1, 2004, after 32 years of marriage. They loved to travel, camp, watch their grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their activities, and loved their “Argo Breakfast Group!”

Pat was an avid CUBS fan and would fly the “W” flag, win or lose! Our Mom was very gifted at drawing, painting, quilting, crocheting, basket weaving, and flower gardening. She especially enjoyed her great-granddaughter Lauren coming to play Bingo and doing crafts with her at Jersey Ridge Place.

Left to honor her memory are her two daughters and sons-in-law; grandchildren, Rev. Jason Holden, Carbondale, Ill., Dr. Lisa (Troy) Klaus, Eldridge, and Cody Donahue, Davenport; great-grandchildren, Tristan Klaus, Luke and Cole Jennings, Lauren Klaus; stepchildren, Barbara (William) Gray, Missouri, Patricia Walker, Rock Island, Linda (Mike) Cameron, Missouri; 13 step-grandchildren; and 22 step-great-grandchildren. Also her sister, Janice (Clyde) Shown; a favorite sister-in-law, Dorothy Alice; cousin, Lee (Jane) Loux; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Harley; stepsons Harley Jr. and Steven Walker; step-granddaughter, Marie. Also Pat’s sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and David Chapman.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Micheal Schreck, Jersey Ridge Place, and Clarissa Cook House for providing excellent compassionate care to our Mother. Memorials can be made to Princeton Presbyterian Church, of which she was a longtime member, to Clarissa Cook Hospice House, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
