Nancy R. Grimes-Morley, 76, of Eldridge, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation was 4-7 p.m. on Friday evening, and from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday, at the funeral home.
Nancy was born on Aug. 16, 1942, in Indiana, daughter of Herb and Marguerite (Walden) Roberts. On June 3, 1995, she married Larry Morley in Davenport. Nancy was a consultant for Mary Kay cosmetics for 32 years. During her career she made many friends who ultimately became like family to her. She enjoyed shopping, being with friends, and playing Euchre. She was a member of New Life Fellowship, Moline. Nancy fought hard and loved hard, always opening her door and heart to those in need. She was a second mom to many, and will always be remembered for her bubbly and outgoing personality.
She is survived by husband, Larry Morley of Eldridge; daughters, Sherri, Cathy, and her baby girl, Billie Jean (Eric) Grimes of Marion, Iowa; siblings, Donna (Rolla) Senters, Betty Jackson, Bobby (Linda) Roberts, Delmar (Susan) Roberts, all of Bloomington, Ill.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including Kelly Sparks, whom Nancy thought of as a daughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Anita Roberts; grandson, Bradley; and several friends that were like family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jon Robken, Shannon Mentzer ARNP, Dr. Katherine Keys, the staff at Genesis – East Cardiac Cath Lab, and to the CIU for their years of care.
