Obituary: Louis Feuerbach

A funeral service for Louis R. Feuerbach, 87, of Durant, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Walcott. Burial was in the Walcott Cemetery, with military honors by the Walcott American Legion. Visitation was Friday, March 1, from 4-7 p.m. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant.

Mr. Feuerbach died Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at his home.

Louis Feuerbach was born July 28, 1931, in Stockton, the son of Elmer and Lulu (Koch) Feuerbach. He graduated from Davenport High School.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.

He married Inez Wolf on Sept. 23, 1955, in Princeton. She died Jan. 20, 2010.

He farmed in Scott County until 1969 and retired from Swiss Valley Dairy in 1991.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Walcott American Legion Post #548.

His hobbies were traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Victoria (Randy) Goodson and Nancy Turkle (Heidi Lievens), all of Walcott, Marcia Zeigler, Bennett, and Gregory Feuerbach and Lori (Dan) Elder, all of Durant; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey, and two brothers, Lee and Carroll Feuerbach.
