A funeral service for Jeffrey Allan Luckritz, 68, of McCausland, was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, at McCausland United Methodist Church. Burial was in the McCausland Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, May 3, from 4-7 p.m. at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
Mr. Luckritz died Monday, April 30, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Jeffrey Luckritz was born May 7, 1949, in Clinton, the son of Edwin and Maxine “Joyce” (Neumann) Luckritz. He graduated from Clinton High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Dubuque, and a masters of divinity degree from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary.
He married Olive Knapper on July 26, 1975, in McCausland.
Following his retirement, he served as a lay pastor.
His hobbies were gardening, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Sara Luckritz, McCausland, Josh (Angie) Luckritz, Princeton, and Lindsey Luckritz (fiancé C.J. Kirby), Eldridge; his grandchildren, Elliot, Colin, and Kinsey; his father, and his siblings, Jill (Roger) Cousins, John (Paula) Luckritz, and Jacie Turner.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
