Obituary: Janice Carman

A funeral service for Janice L. Carman, 82, of Davenport, was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Monday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mrs. Carman died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.

Janice Burch was born May 13, 1936, in Tipton, the daughter of James and Milly (Schaeffer) Burch. She graduated from Bettendorf High School.

She married Jack Carman in July of 1958.

She was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Davenport School System for 20 years.

She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and helped publish the weekly church bulletins.

Her hobbies were knitting, fishing, and watching movies.

Survivors include her husband; her children, Penny Radech, Zephyrhills, Fla., and Robert (Andy) Carman, Northbrook, Ill.; and a grandson, Ryan Radech.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mike; and a sister, Gloria.
