Obituary: Ingelore Nabb

A celebration of life service for Ingelore Renate Nabb, 82, of Park View, was held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at the Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Private family interment was in Rock Island National Cemetery.

Mrs. Nabb died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018.

Ingelore Eschenbach was born May 16, 1936, in Storkow, Germany. She survived World War II as a child. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1965.

She married Carl Nabb in November of 1957.

She sold Avon in Park View.

In younger years, she volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and a Sunday school teacher, and filled in as a baseball coach.

She also volunteered for local political activities, the Bix Biederbecke Run, CASI, and Vander Veer Park. She was a Master Gardner, was president of the Tri-City Rose Club, and was an active member of the American Rose Society.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jeanette (Ben) Levinson, Santa Clara, Calif.; her sons, Kenneth Nabb, Princeton, and David (Aor) Nabb, Kearney, Neb.; her grandchildren, Sebastian Nabb, Nate Levinson, Rachel Levinson, and Daniel Nabb; a sister, Dagmar Bothmann of Germany; and two brothers, Heinz and Volkmar Eschenbach, both of Germany.

Memorials may be made to the American Rose Society or the Humane Society of Scott County.
