A funeral service for Harlan J. Flenker, 94, of Davenport, was held at noon on Saturday, April 20, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Mr. Flenker died Monday, April 15, 2019.
Harlan Flenker was born Nov. 15, 1924, in Dixon, the son of John and Kate (Schmidt) Flenker.
He married Phyllis Puck on Aug. 24, 1949. She died in 2017.
He and his wife farmed in Bennett until 1973, when they moved to Davenport. He retired from Kartridge Pak in 1990.
Survivors include his sons, Wayne (Nancy) Flenker and Gary Flenker; three grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Flenker, Erin (Jason) Tkatch, and Tim Flenker; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by six siblings and their spouses.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society or Camp Courageous.
