A funeral service for Gloria Faye Dahms, 90, of Walcott, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation was Sunday, May 5, from 3-7 p.m. at the mortuary.
Mrs. Dahms died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
Gloria Rock was born in Davenport, the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Steffe) Rock.
She married Warren Dahms on June 25, 1947, in Davenport. He preceded her in death.
She retired after 45 years of being a self-employed farmer and partner of Dahms Electric.
Her hobbies were horses, shopping, spending time with her family, and visiting with friends.
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Cindy) Dahms, Brad (Dee) Dahms, and Doug (Kirbie) Dahms; her grandchildren, Wes Dahms (Alda Magda), Lindsey Schaefer, Amanda (Wesley) McGee, Bradley (Sarah) Dahms, Jessica (Stewart) Hall, Blake (Kristy) Dahms, Dawn (Steve) Hockett, and Alecia Mallek-Dahms (Landon Sears); and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Craig Dahms.
Memorials may be made to Newcomb Presbyterian Church.
