George Schaub
George J. Schaub Jr., 86, of Bettendorf, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf. Per his wishes, no services will be held at this time. The McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, assisted the family with arrangements.
George Schaub was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Moline, the son of Rachel (Engeseth) and George Schaub Sr.
He married Inez Frank on Sept. 4, 1954, in Moline.
He worked as a mechanical engineer for Moline Heating and Construction for 35 years.
He was a Past Master at Fraternal Lodge 221, and a 33rd Degree Mason at Davenport Scottish Rite.
His hobbies were fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife; children, G. John (Catherine) Schaub III, Eldridge, Kathleen Palmer, Moline, and F. Leo (Anisa) Schaub, Milwaukee, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Goodknight, and a sister, Delores Mooney.
