A private graveside funeral service was held in Davenport Memorial Park for Gary E. Steinacker, 77, of Davenport. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Steinacker died Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Gary Steinacker was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., the son of Edward and Elva (Helser) Steinacker. He graduated from Appleton (Wis.) High School in 1959.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, retiring in 1981. He served during Vietnam.
He married Pamela Ricketts on April 7, 1972, on the CCK Air Force Base in Taiwan.
He worked for National Amusements, where he was manager for Show Case Cinemas, retiring in 2000.
His hobbies were watching football, golf, bowling, and baseball.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Sheila (Jeff) Wehr, Bettendorf, Bryan (Jamie) Steinacker, Blue Grass, and Mark Steinacker, Davenport; and his grandsons, Jacob, Justin, Kavyn, Lokyn, and Broyn.
