A celebration of life service for Flora Wallace, 97, of Rock Island, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Wallace died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehab, Rock Island.
She was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Iuka, Miss., the daughter of George Washington and Sarah (Stormont) Whiteside.
Her hobbies were cooking, singing, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Willa Mae Sanders, James (Delores) Reaves, Lorena (Michael) Mann, Julie Harris, and Johnny (Eunice) Mans; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Sam, Sheila, Karen, Brian Jr., and Messiya; three sisters; and three brothers.
