A funeral service for Dennis E. Pewe, 52, of Bettendorf, was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, at Faith Lutheran Church, Calamus. Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, May 2, from 4-7 p.m. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Additional visitation was one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Mr. Pewe died Monday, April 29, 2019, at his home.
Dennis Pewe was born Aug. 11, 1966, in Davenport, the son of Eldon and Arvella (Ketelsen) Pewe. He graduated from North Scott High School. He later attended Hamilton Technical College in Davenport.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a machinist at ALCOA.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his daughters, Kaitlin (Justin) Sawyer, Walcott, and Kelsey Pewe, Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Ella; and his father, Eldon Pewe, Dixon.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Debra Jo Wiebel.
Memorials may be made to the Iowa Farm Sanctuary, Marengo.
