A funeral service for Delores M. Garlock, 75, of Davenport, was held at noon on Saturday, July 7, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Mrs. Garlock died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.
Delores Arp was born March 16, 1943, in Davenport, the daughter of Lester and Luetta (Grill) Arp.
She married Bill Arthur Garlock on June 24, 1961, in Davenport. He died Feb. 28, 2009.
She worked at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds for many years.
She was a room mother for her children’s school activities and a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.
Her hobbies were listening to music, attending concerts, traveling with her daughters, spending time on the riverboats, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Stephen (Lori) Garlock, Brian (Lisa) Garlock, Lori Lindsey, and Amy (Darryl) Patton; her grandchildren, Eric and Lizzie Garlock, Kaitlyn Haggerty, Kylie Haggerty, Mackenzie Garlock, Rachel Garlock, Nathan Lindsey, and Abbie Garlock; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Wayne (Mary) Arp.
Memorials may be made to Jane’s Place at CASI or the Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.
