Obituary: Darrell Feuerbach

A funeral service for Darrell D. Feuerbach, 87, of Walcott, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Walcott. Interment will be in Davenport Memorial Park, with military honors by the Walcott American Legion. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 8, from 4-7 p.m. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Mr. Feuerbach died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.

Darrell Feuerbach was born July 26, 1931, on the family farm in Scott County, the son of Lloyd and Alice (Heuer) Feuerbach. He graduated from Durant High School in 1949.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He married Janet Paustian on April 23, 1955, in Davenport.

He and his wife farmed the family Century Farm for 43 years.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Walcott, the Walcott American Legion, the Walcott Community Club, a board member of the Farmers Elevator Co., and a charter member of the John Deere M Hitch.

His hobbies were playing cards, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pamela Glasgow, Walcott; his sons, Bruce (Mary) Feuerbach, Michael (Tiffiney) Feuerbach, and Jay (Kimberly) Feuerbach, all of Durant, and Steven (Christi) Feuerbach, Incline Village, Nev.; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leon (Deanna) Feuerbach, Davenport.

He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
